Mohd Fairus Bin Ismail, known as Fairus, is a Partner in Palany, Fairus & Adib Chambers, and predominately engages in criminal and civil
litigation. Fairus's area of specialty includes but not limited to Anti- Corruption Laws, Antiā¢ Money Laundering Act, Anti- Corruption Laws, Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and common
cases under the Penal Code.
QUALIFICATIONS
Fairus graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and has obtained a Degree in Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
EXPERIENCE
Fairus started his legal career as a legal assistant in Messrs Tan, Wong & Shukor in Pahang Darul Makmur. In the early years of his legal practice, he has been engaged in the Conveyancing, probate and general litigation matters.
After a few years in private practice, Fairus decided to join the Public Services. Prior to be appointed as a First Class Magistrate, Fairus also served with the Office of The Chief Registrar Federal Court of Malaysia and Palace of Justice in Putra Jaya. Fairus has served as a First Class Magistrate in Sandakan and Kinabatangan in the state of Sabah, in Tapah in the state of Perak and in Cameron Highlands in the state of Pahang and was also the resident magistrate in charge for the Prison in Tapah for a short period.
Fairus was later promoted to the Prosecution Division at Attorney General's Chambers and was appointed to be a Deputy Public Prosecutor. He has been engaged for the prosecution in the criminal matters such as the commercial crime, drug cases, Land Public Transport Act, Immigration Act 1959/ 63 and etc.
Fairus heads the Criminal department in Palany, Fairus & Adib Chambers. His experience in working with the Judiciary and Attorney General's Chambers gives him an insight on how these departments perform.
