Datin Jothi graduated from the University of London (External). She is admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia and by the High Court of Malaya.

Datin Jothi commenced her legal career in Azim, Tunku Farik & Wong, Kuala Lumpur. Jothi then moved to Sydney, where she was the Senior Associate in Palany & Partners. Upon her return to Malaysia, she commenced Jothi Mathi K & Co. and later joined Rejendra Palany Chambers as a Senior Associate and remained in the firm when the transition took place to Palany, Fairus & Adib Chambers
